Brednie. Jest wiele wyzwań konstrukcyjnych dla elektroniki, która ma działać w szerokim zakresie temperatur, ale baterie to najmniejszy problem. Przy znikomoych prądach, jakie pobiera termometr i wyświetlacz LCD, bateria na mrozie działa prawie tak samo dobrze, jak w upalne dni.
